Our Founder

Meet Danielle Corral, Founder of Connecting Ag

Connecting Ag was founded by Danielle Corral, an Arizona native who has worked in the food system and agriculture space for over 15 years. The path to getting here, like the best of stories, took many turns.

Danielle began as a holistic nutritionist and then moved into permaculture and co-founded a nonprofit dedicated to urban forestry. To better connect children and schools with nutritious food and local farmers, she worked in local food procurement at the Arizona Department of Education with USDA child nutrition programs. Danielle then managed an Arizona-based Coalition for Farmland Preservation to address the rapid rate of farmland loss and to support small-scale and underserved producers.

Danielle formed Connecting Ag in 2024 and dedicates her time to supporting farmers, ranchers, and tribal communities and educating others on the critical role that our food systems play in plant, animal (humans included), and planetary health. Danielle is also a regular blog writer for the Good Food Finder platform.

In her “free time,” Danielle is apprenticing as a bison rancher and working towards creating a bison restoration and ranching operation.

Danielle holds a Master of Arts in International Diplomacy, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and Criminal Justice, and certifications in both Holistic Nutrition and Sustainable Food Systems.

Prior to entering the ag and food space, Danielle was a former U.S. Air Force Intelligence Analyst Officer. During that time she lived in Texas, England, and South Korea.
